The Shift to the Cloud is Real.
A new study conducted by AllCloud of IT decision-makers running Amazon Web Services (AWS) in organizations with 300+ employees has found that organizations are planning to expand their use of cloud infrastructure, and technologies such as containers and managed services already have significant footholds in corporate IT departments.
More significant findings from the report include:
- 85% of organizations expect to have the majority of their workloads on the cloud by 2020.
- 56% of IT professionals are leveraging containers for at least half of their cloud workloads.
- 73% of organizations using a hybrid-cloud approach are also running VMware.
- More than 23% of organizations surveyed plan to be cloud-only in 2020.
