Heading to AWS re:Invent this Year? Here’s Everything You Need to Know

AllCloud Blog:
Cloud Insights and Innovation

The countdown is on for this year’s AWS re:Invent, now less than a month away, starting on December 2nd, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is one of the most exciting events on the calendar, giving you a chance to network with other cloud professionals, hear about the latest product and service updates, and of course – kick back and have fun! Here’s what you can expect from this year’s line-up.

The AWS Marketplace Continues to Encourage SaaSification
We’ve seen a continued emphasis on how startups to enterprises can sell their products on the AWS Marketplace, and we expect that theme to be big at this year’s conference. Independent Software Vendors know they need to leverage the benefits of the cloud to reach their customers, but require help getting their software cloud-ready. As part of Israel, the start-up nation, AllCloud are well-versed in supporting SaaS companies to effectively sell and integrate their solutions on AWS, and we’re excited to hear what’s coming next from the Marketplace.

Listen Up for Announcements About Enterprise Migration
As part of this, we hope to hear more announcements from AWS around services, partnerships and programs that cater to expediting cloud adoption for enterprise customers. As well as more than 2,800 sessions, workshops and chalk talks on new and emerging technologies from AWS, there is also a specific track dedicated to Management tools and Governance for large organizations.

Looking into the Sessions: Databases, Security, and DevOps Take the Lead
Looking at the types of sessions and the volume of activity around different topics, it’s easy to see what the AWS community is excited about this year. There will be a continued large focus on Databases and Database Migration, with 180 sessions overall! This is essential to support businesses in paving a foundation to benefit from the cloud, enabling organizations to leverage their data for the next steps.

Other topics taking up a lot of stage time this year are Security, especially around AI technology, DevOps, Machine Learning, and both IoT and Serverless.

In terms of industry breakdown, there is a push towards cloud adoption and technology in traditional industries, such as manufacturing, automotive, oil and gas, mining and resources, and power and utilities. We think it’s safe to say that the 4th Industrial Revolution has arrived and isn’t going anywhere any time soon!

Don’t Forget to Look out for AllCloud at the Event
Of course, AllCloud will be participating and networking at AWS re:Invent, and we’d love to see as many of you as possible at our Happy Hour event at The Venetian, Wednesday, December 4th at 6 pm.

But that’s not all! This year we have a few exciting announcements:
